Student Services

It is the policy of the Travel Institute of the Pacific to provide the very best in travel/hospitality education. To this end, the following services are available to all Institute students:

Academic advising - The Director of Admissions will provide advising to any prospective student regarding program selection, admission procedures, financial assistance and career planning. Career guidance and academic tutoring are available to students through their instructor and the program director.

Personal Advising - The Director of Student Affairs is available to offer preliminary advising and subsequent referral to an appropriate external agency on any matter that adversely affects the student's ability to continue training.

Attendance and Academic records - Academic and attendance records are maintained in the Institute's central computer system and updated daily. Student information and grades are kept on permanent file and will not be released without prior written consent from the student.

Placement - The Travel Institute of the Pacific will assist all graduating students to fill their employment needs and gain recognition consistent with their achievement. In accordance with the Dept. of Education, State of Hawaii, Rule 46, no school can guarantee a student a job. However, the Institute maintains open lines of communication with the travel, lodging and food&beverage industries as an aid to placement.

Housing- The Travel Institute may arrange for special student housing at various Waikiki hotels and condominiums, located near the Institute. Contact the Director of Admissions for additional information.
